Crane ship "Saipem 7000"

Semisubmersible crane and pipelaying (j-lay) dp vessel

Saipem 7000 was originally built as a semisub-mersible crane vessel (Micoperi 7000) capable of lifting and installing offshore structures up to 14’000 tons in weight. In 1999 the vessel was converted to accommodate a "J"-Lay Tower and pipe handling equipment for laying pipelines in deep water areas worldwide.
